Pre-existing Condition Exclusion
for Guaranteed-Issue Critical Illness Insurance

CA Select Critical Illness Insurance issued under this guaranteed offer, which does not require evidence of insurability, contains a pre-existing condition exclusion. The benefit will not be paid if you suffer from a covered illness or condition at any time during the 24-month period following the effective date of your coverage (or the date of the last reinstatement of coverage) which results directly or indirectly from a pre-existing condition. A pre-existing condition is an illness or condition for which, during the 24-month period before the effective date of the policy, you were diagnosed or were treated, hospitalized or attended to by a physician or were advised to seek treatment or consult a physician; were prescribed or took medication; showed indications, signs or symptoms or underwent tests or investigations.

CA Select Critical Illness Insurance issued on a usual underwriting basis does not have any pre-existing condition exclusion, and if you choose to increase your CA Select Critical Illness Insurance from the $25,000 Guaranteed offer, this pre-existing condition exclusion will no longer apply to your coverage.
