And once you have joined, you can stay covered for life. So long as you continue to pay your premiums, your coverage can never be cancelled (unless you wish it).

Once you join, your low rates are locked in, and you'll never have to pay a penny more. In fact, we guarantee that your payments will never increase for as long as you remain protected for the coverage you choose.

If you don't smoke, you'll save even more. Non-smokers can apply for coverage at rates that are 3% to 31% lower than those for smokers. Smokers who join the Plan can later reapply for the lower non-smoker rates, after they have quit smoking for at least 12 months.

• Five times the benefit amount paid if death is accidental! If death occurs before age 85 because of accidental causes, your beneficiaries will receive five times the benefit amount you've chosen. That's up to $100,000 in protection.
• A compassionate cash advance. If diagnosed as being terminally ill with 12 months or less to live, you can apply to receive an interest-free Living Benefit cash advance of up to 50% of your own benefit amount (if coverage has been in effect for at least two years).
• Benefits are paid tax-free. Your benefits under this Plan will be paid to your beneficiaries tax-free under current federal and provincial legislation. (Note that no benefit is payable for suicide within the first two years of coverage, other than a refund of payments made to that date. If death occurs in the first two years due to non-accidental causes other than suicide, all premiums will be returned plus 10% interest compounded annually, and no other benefit will be paid.)
