Actuarial Student
Responsibilities:
- produce high-level calculations using set criteria and knowledge of life contingencies;
- provide management with detailed reports of findings;
- develop appropriate assumptions and establish one's own methodology;
- develop a working knowledge and understanding of the logistics and operating environment of such technical issues as legislation and tax laws.
Qualifications/Skills:
- completed a University degree;
- in the process of completing Society of Actuaries exam syllabus;
- strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Actuary
Responsibilities:
- manage various projects by defining, negotiating, coordinating, analyzing and presenting to management;
- direct and coordinate the implementation of recommendations ensuring that changes are incorporated, tested and documented.
Qualifications/Skills:
- completion of the Society of Actuaries exam syllabus;
- experience working in several actuarial areas as well as some project management and supervisory experience;
- acquired a FSA, FIA, or FFA designation.
