Manulife Mutual Funds caps “no-load” class of Manulife Cabot Funds
Changes designed to eliminate duplication across firm’s product line

Toronto - Manulife Mutual Funds, a division of Elliott & Page Limited, will cap its “no-load” class of the Manulife Cabot Funds.

“The decision to cap these funds was made as part of our ongoing efforts to refine our current product offerings,” said Eric Grove, Vice President of Investment Funds of Manulife Financial. “Our goal is simple — to improve operational efficiency and reduce duplication within our mutual fund line-up.”

Over the last few months, a number of changes have been made to the Elliott & Page Mutual Fund Family, including the launch of its revised purchase options schedule and the launch of a new RSP version of the popular Elliott & Page Total Equity Fund.

Manulife Mutual Funds will cap the following three no-load versions of its mutual fund line-up:
  • Elliott & Page Canadian Equity Fund – Class A (formerly Manulife Cabot Canadian Equity Fund)
  • Elliott & Page Global MultiStyle Fund – Class A (formerly Manulife Cabot Global MultiStyle Fund)
  • Elliott & Page Blue Chip Fund – Class A (formerly Manulife Cabot Blue Chip Fund)
The no-load classes will be closed to new investments as of December 9, 2002. Assets in the Funds will continue to be managed and are fully transferable with all other mutual funds offered by Manulife Mutual Funds including Elliott & Page and Manulife Investment Exchange Funds.

Investors will still be able to access these mandates by purchasing the Advisor Class (Class E) or Fee-based (Class F) versions of these popular Funds.

The Elliott & Page Canadian Equity Fund, the Elliott & Page Global MultiStyle Fund, and the Elliott & Page Blue Chip Fund are managed by Manulife Mutual Funds, a division of Elliott & Page Limited.
