Manulife USA #1 company in operational relationships with Broker/Dealers for second year in a row, finds OMR survey

Boston –For the second consecutive year, Manulife USA’s Annuities division was ranked the #1 company in Operational Relationships with broker/dealers, according to the annual Operations Manager Roundtable (OMR). Manulife USA ranked 2nd overall out of the15 leading carriers who participated in this survey, marking a significant climb in the rankings as well as strong upward swing in positive opinion since 1999.

“OMR’s survey results underscores the diligence and focus demonstrated by every member of our team to enhance the level of service and ease of conducting business with Manulife USA,” said James R. Boyle, President of Manulife USA’s Annuities division.

According to the OMR survey, Manulife USA’s Annuities division improved its new business and premium processing over the previous year. Manulife USA’s Annuities division continued to be strong and progress in the following areas: financial and non-financial transaction processing, call center service, and licensing and agent appointments. “Over the last year, U.S. Annuities has diligently worked together to ensure that our broker/dealers are getting the best, most efficient service, and based on the results of the OMR survey, our hard work has been recognized,” said Jonnie Smith, Executive Vice President of Administration for Manulife USA’s Annuities division.

The OMR industry group was formed 13 years ago to provide broker/dealers and annuity carriers a forum for discussing operational issues facing the annuity industry. OMR surveys operations managers and staff from 20 national and regional brokerage firms, banks, and financial planning outfits. Each year, these evaluators are asked to assign numerical ratings to their significant providers of annuity products across seven categories.
