Child Life & Accident Insurance
Big protection for your little ones
If anything were to happen to your children, expenses should be the last thing on your mind.
In case of the unexpected, financial assistance from Child Life & Accident insurance can help reduce your family’s burden.
This plan is available for you to cover your children if you or your spouse are applying for, or already have, Alumni Term Life coverage.
One low monthly premium. A single low premium, starting at just $1.50, covers all your eligible dependent children, regardless of how many you have.
Two coverages in one. Child Life & Accident combines Major Impairment accident coverage with Life insurance coverage. Coverage starts at $25,000 for Major Impairment plus $5,000 for Life insurance.
What’s covered? The Life benefit is payable in the event of death from any cause. The Major Impairment benefit is payable in the event of an accident resulting in the covered losses, as summarized below:
Major Impairment covered losses | Amount payable*
per $5,000 Life coverage |
Brain damage | $25,000 |
Total & permanent paralysis | $25,000 |
Loss of use of two limbs | $25,000 |
Total & permanent loss of sight, speech or hearing | $25,000 |
Life insurance benefit |
Death from any cause | $5,000 |
* If an accident results in more than one covered loss, the total benefit amount payable is subject to a maximum of $25,000 per $5,000 of Life coverage purchased.
